SAP SuccessFactors - EBI Integration Workflow Steps

Recruiter Identifies Candidate

To initiate a background check, move the candidate to the “Background Check” status. The user can then submit the background check by clicking “Take Action” again in your candidate’s profile under the job requisition.

Background Check Initiated

Once the background check has been requested, the “Background Check” tab in the candidate’s profile in SuccessFactors will automatically update letting the SuccessFactors user know the request was successfully submitted.

Data Transferred To EBI

The applicant receives a client defined and branded email invitation or SMS from the EBI system requesting the completion of any missing information required for the background check, and to sign the required authorization forms.

Candidate Authorization

When all information has been filled in, the candidate will be prompted to authorize the background check to be performed. This authorization is performed via electronic signature.

Request Processed

Once the candidate has completed their portion of the process, the “Background Check” section in their profile in SuccessFactors will automatically update to reflect that EBI has begun processing the order.

Status Posted For Review

When the “In Progress Vendor” status has been returned to SuccessFactors, the “Background Check” section will update once again to provide an ETA for the recruiter’s reference. A link to the report is also included.

Completed Background Check Posted

When EBI has completed the report, SuccessFactors will update and provide a completion result and date in the “Background” field

Recruiter Reviews Results

After clicking on the View Report link, the full report is presented.
