(Owings Mills, Maryland, September 21, 2021) – Employment Background Investigations, Inc. (EBI) has achieved a Consortium/Third-Party Administrator certificate of accreditation from the National Drug & Alcohol Screening Association for meeting the highest industry standards for drug and alcohol testing. EBI is one of only ten service agents that have received this honor, given to providers who exemplify the management of an employer’s Department of Transportation drug and alcohol testing program.

“This accreditation from NDASA solidifies what we’ve known all along, that EBI has one of the most compliant DOT drug testing solutions in the industry,” says Heather Horn, Vice President of Drug Testing, Occupational Healthcare, and Wellness Program at EBI. “We are thrilled to be one of the first providers in the nation to achieve this status.”

To earn Consortium/Third-Party Administrator accreditation, EBI demonstrated exceptional responses and practices in these areas:

  • Ethical Standards, Integrity, and Confidentiality
  • Breath Alcohol Testing, Drug Collections, and Procedures
  • Random Testing
  • Training, Development, and Leadership
  • Services and Product Offerings

“Our drug screening platform enables you to manage every aspect of your drug screening program from a single interface,” says Horn. “All specimen types are supported (urine, hair, blood, oral fluid), and we have the largest self-managed network with over 15,000 locations.”

The NDASA Accreditation Program was launched at the end of 2020 to ensure providers demonstrate standards of excellence for drug and alcohol testing, compliance with DOT regulations, and processes governing the industry.
