Using EBI through Greenhouse's Talent Acquisition Suite, you'll have a direct line your candidates. You can invite them via SMS text or email to input information, attach relevant documents using their phone and agree to the background check with an electronic wet signature. They can even log back in with verification, check the status of the screen and provide any additional information needed.

How does it work?

Recruiter Identifies Candidate

The requester will set-up a new job to submit potential applicants to. Under the “Jobs” tab, the requester will select “+ New Job”

Background Check Initiated

The background request can be triggered at any stage. If the client wanted the request to be triggered at the “Background Check” stage, as shown below, all they would have to do is move that candidate to that stage, and the request would be triggered the same way.

Data Transferred To EBI

The applicant receives a client defined and branded email invitation or SMS from the EBI system requesting the completion of any missing information required for the background check, and to sign the required authorization forms.

Candidate Authorization

When all information has been filled in, the candidate will be prompted to authorize the background check to be performed. This authorization is performed via electronic signature.

Request Processed

Greenhouse is updated to show EBI is now processing the order. At this point, the Greenhouse user is also presented a link (View Report) to the full report on the EBI platform. Clicking on the link will take the user into EBI’s platform without requiring a login.

Status Posted For Review

By navigating to the candidate within Greenhouse, you will be able to find all relevant information pertaining to the status of the background check, including the ETA for when the component will be completed.

Completed Background Check Posted

When the order is completed an activity note is posted to Greenhouse indicating the order is now complete along with a link to the order.

Recruiter Reviews Results

After clicking on the View Report link, the full report is presented.
