EBI Launches Workplace Health & Safety Return-to-Work Solution

By Tricia O'Connor

The pandemic has accelerated the need for powerful, easy-to-use digital information tools for employees to have the confidence to return safely to work and for businesses and universities to reopen under safe operating conditions.

Moreover, leaders need an end-to-end digital framework that adheres to local and national safety standards and mitigates the risk of a COVID-19 outbreak within your workplace and the financial impact that is associated with the health and safety of your employees and business.

To that end, EBI proudly announces the launch of its Workplace Health & Safety Solution, a return-to-work system designed to meet the safety and health risk needs for small, mid-size, and large enterprises during the pandemic and beyond.

Innovative Response with EBI Workplace Health & Safety

EBI Workplace Health & Safety is a health and wellness technology platform focused on keeping the workplace running smoothly while ensuring employees are healthy and complying with best practices to keep everyone safe. The platform serves as a central data repository and analytics engine for data collected through employee mobile health apps, thermal scanners, and contact tracing systems. These analytics give employers the insights they need to make critical business decisions to keep the workplace open and operational. Most importantly, these products give employees the confidence they need to safely return to work.

“When we consider the challenges associated with enabling a safe return to work, it’s imperative that employers not only have access to reliable information regarding the health of their employees, but also the ability to act on that information to ensure the workplace is safe and operations are maximized,” says Rick Kurland, CEO of EBI and the driving force behind this new endeavor. “The EBI Workplace Health & Safety Solution solves for nearly every CDC recommended protocol to assist employers so they can manage and prevent potential outbreaks that may affect their operations and the health and safety of their employees (their most valuable asset) and their communities.”

The secure U.S. cloud-based, customizable platform integrates daily biometric authorization for symptom screening for COVID-19 through a mobile app or a plug and play no-contact thermal temperature scanning device at workplace entry points. Through the Command Center Dashboard, authorized users can monitor work locations to ensure safe distancing practices, access critical analytics, manage employee data securely and business operations efficiently to identify and address potential outbreaks in a timely manner.

The EBI Workplace Health & Safety Solution provides these modular options for organizations to build any solution necessary to protect their people and their livelihoods.

Employee Mobile App

mobile-app-temp-question-altThe EBI Workplace Health & Safety employee mobile app is easy-to-use, compliant with SOC 2 data privacy guidelines, and ensures your employees, clients, and visitors confidently return to a healthy environment. Fast and easy, whether on a smartphone app, browser, or desktop, employees receive a private push notification to complete a quick mobile survey and customizable daily health questionnaire. This ensures healthy employees report to the office, while potentially vulnerable employees receive necessary next steps. In less than 60 seconds, you and your employees have the vital information needed to protect the health and wellbeing of your workforce.

The Mobile Employee App provides a simple CDC symptom questionnaire that employees access on their mobile device every morning at home. If the questionnaire results indicate potential illness, the employee will be instructed to stay at home and an HR administrator will be notified. If the employee successfully completes the questionnaire, they will be issued a QR code for no contact thermal temperature scanning at the entry of their work facility.

Thermal Temperature Screening

Thermal Temperature ScreeningOne of the most telling indicators of a COVID-19 infection is a fever. Our no contact thermal temperature scanners feature SOC 2 compliant data storage and software developed in the U.S. The customizable kiosk asks employees and guests to complete the CDC’s Questionnaire to determine if they are symptomatic or have been to a high-risk region that could put them at risk for exposure to the virus. Information is captured, encrypted, and securely housed in our U.S. based network with 360-degree data protection.

Thermal Temperature Scanning detects symptomatic employees and ensures face mask compliance. The software driving the Thermal Temperature Technology has been designed and developed in the U.S. and allows for temperature detection in under 3 seconds, with measurement accuracy within 0.5 degrees Fahrenheit. This scanner eliminates the need for an individual to get within 6 feet of someone to take their temperature and possibly be exposed to COVID-19. Each kiosk can be customized with stands, accessories, colors, and logos. You also have the option to screen for mask compliance.

Distance Monitoring and Contact Tracing

tracker-with-logo-and-bigger-light2EBI Workplace Health & Safety makes physical distancing simple and allows you to contact trace with just a click of your mouse. Employees wear an extremely lightweight sensor that uses ultra-wideband technology to pinpoint their location at all times. The device alerts them when they are too close to another person and sends the data to the HR Command Center. This data provides valuable insights for how your facility is operating and helps alert you to areas that might need to be reconfigured. It also allows you to begin Contact Tracing instantaneously.

If someone falls ill, Contact Tracing allows you to quickly identify co-workers who were close enough to be exposed. Not only will it tell you who may be at risk based on location, but it will also tell you the duration of the exposure. EBI Workplace Health & Safety sends out notifications, as well as information regarding testing or quarantining, all while protecting the affected employee’s identity. The entire process is automated and immediately allows you to trace possible chains of infection. The goal is to stop the spread as quickly as possible while allowing you to keep your business running.

HR Command Center

main-dash-command-centerKnowing when and where to take action is essential to protecting your people. The HR Command Center securely manages up-to-the-minute employee data and aggregates comprehensive risk mitigation information to determine threats to your organization’s health. This real-time information is captured, encrypted, and securely streamlined into the Command Center dashboard that provides critical alerts, essential analytics, and vital insights to help keep your employees safe and your operations resilient. Our comprehensive SOC 2 data security compliance measures ensure sensitive information never leaves our shores.
