hair-on-fire-blog-image.pngWe’ve all felt it. A meeting spinning out of control, a work relationship taking a turn for the worse or just a day where everything seems to be a struggle. There are things you can do to not only get things back on track, but to keep them from falling off the rails in the first place. Check out the video below to meet Morag Barrett, founder and CEO of SkyeTeam, and the host of our upcoming SHRM/HCRI eligible webinar, How to Keep Your Head when Your Hair is on Fire!

TRANSCRIPT:

Morag Barrett // SkyeTeam: So let’s start with the fun stuff: I’m a ballroom dancer and a bassoon player. But for my day job, I am passionate about one thing. And that’s how business gets done. The people side of successful organizations.

Jennifer: So our particular webinar we’re working on right now is talking about how to keep cool when your hair is on fire. That seems like it’s a pretty common occurrence, is it?

Morag: It is! Everyone keeps telling me, “well when things calm down in the fall…”, and I don’t know about you, but every day can be a ‘hair on fire’ situation. And if you’ve ever sat in a meeting thinking, “that’s stupid, that’ll never work”, or heard yourself saying “yes” when inside you’re going, “nooooo!”, then this webinar is going to be for you.

If you’ve ever found yourself yelling at strangers in traffic, or literally lost for words, at the end of this webinar you’re going to understand the science behind why this happens, and realize that sometimes, it’s not your fault.

However, I’m also going to give you the tips to make sure that you can speak up when you have an important message to share, and that when someone’s pushing your buttons, it doesn’t cause you to go into fight mode.
