As an integral member of EBI’s leadership team, Curt will have oversight in federal, state and global regulatory and compliance initiatives, US privacy policies and vendor management. He will also play an instrumental role in assisting clients with privacy and regulatory education and support.

“We are thrilled to have Curt join our team,” said EBI President and CEO Rick Kurland. “As a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional, his vast knowledge further enhances EBI’s commitment to overall corporate and client compliance.”

Schwall brings more than 19 years of industry experience to the post, 15 of them focusing on compliance. Most recently he served as SterlingBackcheck’s VP of Corporate Ethics and Compliance.

“I am so proud to join the exceptional team at EBI,” Schwall says. “Their passionate commitment to exceptional client service, best data practices and the highest ethical business standards made the decision very easy for me. Over the years, I have watched and admired EBI as they have grown to be a major player in the screening industry.  Rick Kurland and his team have built a great company, and I am honored to have the opportunity to join and represent EBI. Our future is incredibly bright and I look forward to working with all of our clients.”

Schwall is certified by the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics and served two terms on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Professional Background Screeners. He currently serves on the NAPBS Government Relations Committee.
