EBI To Present Compliant Employment Screening At MN HR Conference

Employment Background Investigations, Inc. (EBI) Chief Knowledge Officer, Robert Capwell, will present a session at the MN SHRM 2010 State Conference in Duluth, Minnesota on Tuesday, October 12 at 2:45pm entitled - Critical Background Screening Resources-Best Practices and Compliance Mandates for HR Professionals in Minnesota.

Discussion topics within Capwell’s presentation will include searching criminal records and sex offender databases in the state, use of E-Verify as a Minnesota employer, Social Media for screening, and FCRA guidelines for compliance.

“EBI takes the complexities out of navigating state and federal regulations for employers by providing regular online updates on employment background screening legislation and best practices to stay compliant,” states Richard Kurland, President and CEO.  Kurland also commented that EBI has a dedicated Regulatory and Compliance department that is chartered with tracking industry and legislative trends.
