Robert E. Capwell is considered to be one of the leading experts in the background screening industry with more than 27 years of experience in the field. As Chief Knowledge Officer at EBI, Bob oversees the implementation and management of EBI’s Quality Management and Information Security Management Systems in accordance with ISO9001 and ISO27001 Standards. Bob also leads EBI’s internal training and knowledge sharing initiatives throughout the organization.
Bob is a past Chair of the National Association of Professional Background Screeners' (NAPBS) Board of Directors and is an advocate of the organization as a global spokesperson and industry expert.

Scott Thelen has more than 25 years of experience in the finance and accounting field, the last seven years serving in the CFO role for multi-state, multi-facility organizations. In his career, Scott has successfully completed multiple debt restructurings, financed new construction, restructured and upgraded back office support systems, as well as creating new financial standards within those organizations.
Scott’s responsibilities at EBI include banking, cash management, financial reporting, accounting, business intelligence, and facilities. Scott holds a degree in Business Administration (Accounting) from the University of Baltimore, and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Rebecca Roberts has more than 15 years of experience in the screening industry, focusing primarily on occupational health and substance abuse testing. Curt’s experience in the screening industry spans more than 20 years. He is now serving his third term on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS). At EBI, Curt oversees our state, federal, and global regulatory and compliance initiatives, US Privacy policies, and vendor management. He also helps our clients with privacy and regulatory issues. Curt is a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional with a B.S. from Eastern Michigan University in Criminal Justice. Prior to EBI, Curt held executive compliance roles with TransUnion, Acxiom, and SterlingBackcheck.

Michelle Nichols has more than 17 years of customer service and operational experience. Starting with EBI in 2006 and holding progressively strategic roles in each of our operational units, Michelle has garnered a vast understanding of all facets of the background screening, drug testing, and occupational health processes, the regulatory environment surrounding them, and our clients’ needs for integrated software solutions to make the screening process as simple as possible.
As Vice President of Client Software Solutions, Michelle is responsible for planning, implementing, and improving technology -- including our J-One screening platform -- to continually delight our clients with a seamless and intuitive experience.

Sean Kolarik joined EBI in 2005 as a National Account Executive, creating, implementing and managing programs for enterprise, global, and multi-location clients. Since then, drawing on his first-hand understanding of clients’ background screening needs, Sean has worked diligently to deliver exceptional service to EBI’s clients – a core principle of our culture.
Sean is responsible for all aspects of sales and customer care, including the Account Management Group and the Customer Care Department. Sean has extensive knowledge of the Fair Credit Report Act (FCRA), state requirements, and compliance issues, and is a Dale Carnegie graduate.

RJ Frasca joined EBI in 2018. RJ brings over 20 years of marketing and product experience and has worked with numerous high profile companies such as Yahoo, Microsoft, Time Warner, and Verizon on various marketing campaigns. He has extensive experience in digital marketing, product management, and community management, and is a well-known and respected social media strategist and thought leader. RJ's responsibilities at EBI include strategic oversight of all marketing initiatives.

Chris is a graduate of the University of Maryland and has been working in advertising and marketing for 26 years as a creative director and marketing innovator.
