Worker’s Compensation Records

Reports designed to confirm an applicant's workers' compensation claim history (after an offer of employment has been made).  Available in only certain states.

What does this service provide?

Worker’s compensation searches are recommended for individuals working in light industrial, manufacturing, construction and production environments where physical activity is part of the candidate’s job function.  This search provides insight into past worker’s compensation claims filed by the subject.  Information provided will help guide employers to avoid placing the subject into a position that may pose risk of re-injury and help identify habitual claim filers.

When applicants have filed workers compensation claims against past employers, they often intentionally leave them off of an employment application.  Falsification is often used by employers as grounds for revoking a conditional job offer or terminating a recent hire.

The search of worker’s compensation records must be conducted on a post-hire or post offer basis, and cannot be used on a pre-employment basis to comply with ADA, EEO and other federal and state regulations and statutes.
