Current topic: White Collar Crime Still Epidemic: Fraud and Identity Theft. The latest victim of faulty background screening practices happens to be Trumbull County in Pennsylvania, where more than $600,000 was wasted by a Small Business Owner with a past history of fraud. The man in question, Robert Moosally, got into trouble before with this specific form of white collar crime; he was convicted of bank fraud in 1985, and served 29 months in prison. Sadly, the County of Trumbull and numerous small banks in the area had already loaned him the money when this information was discovered. At that point there was nothing to be done, and Moosally’s airport refueling and maintenance business has since gone bankrupt. The loans are in default. Stories like this are more common than they need to be.
