Federal Inmate Prison Search:
Integral to Employment Background Screening
According to the Department of Corrections and the Bureau of Justice, incarcerations are on the rise in America, making the federal prison inmate search an even more important facet of employment background screening.
There's nothing wrong with wanting to give someone a fresh start. More and more, men and women who want to turn over a new leaf are pursuing job training from within the state and federal penitentiary system, and there's no reason not to hire someone that has the right qualifications for the job, and who employers feel they can trust.
Many states also offer a tax break for employers and managers who hire ex cons, and as you can see at azstarnet.com, there are those with a prison record who do genuinely want to start a new life. This combination of eager workers and tax exemptions make hiring an ex con an attractive idea.
But this doesn't mean that employers shouldn't be careful.
More than 2/3 of inmates released from state prisons in the mid 90s went on to commit another crime. The Justice Department reports that 2.2 million people were in prison or jail in 2005, and therefore 1, 470,000 of them are at risk for recommitting. Many ex cons also have issues with drug abuse, making them a dangerous and costly addition to the workforce if such behavior goes unchecked.
Unfortunately, too many companies fail to pursue a federal inmate prison search, or employment background screening of any kind. Even those who rely on public records are taking a terrible risk: public records are infamous for being poorly organized, and loaded with mismanaged or downright false information.
This is why there really isn't any substitution for a good screening program for potential hires as well as established employees. By relying on quality employment background screening employers can tailor their screening process to match their needs, incorporating a criminal records search, federal inmate search, drug testing, and whatever else they need to hire the right person, the right time.
