EBI Makes Employee Background Screening Even More Efficient:

Paperwork made easy.

In a field where each background screening company is seeking to outperform the others, EBI has once again upped the bar.

In an effort to make Form I-9 compliance even easier to attain, EBI has made Form I-9 processing paperless.

The Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA) was passed on a federal level in 1986, making it illegal for employers to hire employees who are not legal citizens, or are authorized to work in the United States. Compliance with this act is verified by the filing and maintaining of the Employment Eligibility Verification Form (I-9). Employers must keep each I-9 on file for at least three years, or one year after employment ends, whichever is longer.

But now, thanks to EBI it can all be done with the push of a button.

That’s correct – there won’t be tons of paperwork to fill out, or multiple copies to handle and process before a client can verify and hire their employee. EBI knows that pre-employment background screening needs to be fast, thorough, and efficient in order to facilitate the employer’s needs. This new paperless model of I-9 compliance will fulfill all of that criteria.

Even better, this new process of employee background screening will also allow employers to identify current employees with mis-matched Social Security numbers through the SSA’s Social Security Number Verification Service (SSNVS).

Finally, their revised, paperless background screening process will also allow EBI to check Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Social Security Administration (SSA) databases, and provide a unique DHS-issued verification number.

All of this will save employers time and money, making it easier to hire the right employee quickly and efficiently.
