Summary: The Legal Arizona Workers Act, effective January 01, 2009, requires that all public and private businesses utilize E-Verify to determine the employment eligibility of new hires. Arizona also prohibits government contracts to any contractor and subcontractor that does not utilize E-Verify. Knowingly or intentionally hiring an illegal alien could result in business license suspension or revocation.
