DOT Driver's Qualifications

In compliance with the Department of Transportation (DOT), a driver’s license verification must be conducted on a pre-hire and also on an annual basis.  Any commercial driver working under the regulations of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Federal Transit Administration (FTA), Federal Railroad Administration (FRA), and the Maritime Administration fall under DOT regulations.

 

What does this service provide?

Driver Qualifications mandated by DOT compliance should be conducted on employees driving on behalf of an employer.  A driver’s history can also provide insight into an individual’s due care and legal responsibility including the compliance with DOT regulations.  EBI’s Motor Vehicle Records Search (MVRs) provides the following as reported by the applicable state’s Department of Motor Vehicles:
